How to choose a barber

A good barber appointment is a consultation plus a cut you can live with for the next few weeks. The listing should say duration, price and whether you see a named barber.

Name the cut

Skin fade, scissor cut and beard work are different jobs. Read the service list. A photo of your own hair from a previous good cut is more useful than a celebrity reference.

Who you will see

If the shop has several chairs, check whether you can book a named barber. Walk-ins and online slots can be different lengths.

Time and return visits

Ask how long the appointment is and when they suggest you come back. A listing with real times on WellNear is easier than a closed Instagram book.
