Accessibility at WellNear
We want people to be able to search, compare and book through WellNear regardless of ability, technology or access needs.

Our commitment
We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
We have not yet completed a full manual and automated assessment of every public journey, so we do not claim full compliance. Automated tools alone cannot determine accessibility; human evaluation is also needed.
Using WellNear
The public site is designed with the following in mind. Until the planned audit is complete, treat these as design aims rather than certified results:
- Keyboard navigation and a skip-to-content link
- Support for screen readers through headings, labels and buttons
- Browser zoom and text resizing
- Colour contrast on primary text and actions
- Visible focus indicators on interactive controls
- Form labels and error messages on account, booking and contact forms
- Alternative text on content images where a description is needed
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences on some animations
- Responsive layouts for smaller screens
Known limitations

Practice accessibility information
Access details on a practice listing may come from the practice or from public sources. They can be incomplete or out of date. Contact the practice to confirm specific access requirements before you travel.
Search includes a wheelchair-accessible filter where a practice has marked a location that way. That filter is not a substitute for confirming the building, parking or treatment-room access you need.
Requesting help
If a page blocks you from using WellNear, contact us about accessibility. It helps if you can include:
- The page URL
- Your device
- Your browser
- Any assistive technology you were using
- A description of the problem
You do not need to tell us about a disability. We treat access failures as defects.
Enforcement and review
This is a private marketplace accessibility page. It is not a public-sector accessibility statement and does not use the public-sector enforcement route.
We will review this page at least at the next planned review date, or sooner if a material accessibility change is released.
