How to fit self-care into a busy week
Self-care that survives a busy week is small and already in the diary. One booked hour beats a plan that needs a free weekend.
Pick one thing that fits the week you have
A lunchtime walk, an early class, a facial or an hour you do not fill can all be the thing. Choose one. Adding three new habits in a week that is already full is how plans get dropped.
Look at the week before you book. A treatment across town on your busiest day will be the one you cancel. A nearer slot, or something you do at home, is more likely to happen.
Put it in the diary like any other commitment
If it only happens when everything else is finished, it will not happen. Block the time, set the bag or the towel out, and treat a cancellation as a rebooking rather than a failure.
Let a short pause be enough
An hour is a proper pause. You do not need a spa day every month for it to matter. If you want a longer break, plan it as its own day rather than squeezing it into an evening that is already spoken for.
