What to expect at a first beauty appointment

First beauty appointments are usually straightforward: a few questions, the treatment you booked, and clear aftercare. The listing should tell you what is included before you arrive.

How to prepare

Check whether you should arrive with a clean face, without nail polish, or after avoiding certain products. Facials, waxing, lashes and nails all have different prep notes — use the service description rather than guessing.

Tell the practitioner about allergies, recent treatments, pregnancy or skin that reacts easily. That conversation is normal, not an interrogation.

During the appointment

A first visit often includes a brief consultation, then the treatment you booked. Ask what products will be used and what you should avoid afterwards. You can stop or change anything that is uncomfortable.

Booking the next visit

Beauty treatments often work best on a regular rhythm. If the practice publishes times on WellNear, you can compare availability and rebook without starting from a blank calendar.

WellNear guides provide general information to help you compare services. They are not a substitute for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
