What to expect from a first hypnotherapy session
Clinical hypnotherapy on WellNear is a talking treatment with consent and a plan. A first session should explain what will happen, what you remain in control of, and whether you want to continue.
What the first session is for
Most first appointments are a conversation: what you want help with, how the practitioner works, and whether hypnosis is even the right tool. You can ask to go slowly, to keep your eyes open, or to stop.
Consent and control
You should be told what they will and will not do, how records are kept, and what happens if you feel uncomfortable. WellNear is for finding and booking; the clinical conversation stays with the practitioner.
How to choose
Look for a clear description of who they work with (sleep, habits, anxiety, pain) rather than a promise to fix everything. Compare local listings and, where times are published, book a genuine first appointment.
